Product update ยท 2026-09-24

Your company on baubiber.com, client approvals on your terms, and crews planned on milestones

This update gives companies and contractors a full public profile, lets you decide per project what your client approves, and rebuilds the construction workspace around milestones. Photos on public pages now load for everyone, and those pages share less about homeowners.

What is new

  • Public profiles for companies and contractors. A profile page with your service area on a map, ratings, certifications and crew, plus a button for clients to request a project.
  • Client approvals on your terms. Decide per project whether budget changes need the client's approval or just inform them.
  • Milestones and crew planning in one place. Fewer tabs, tasks inside milestones, and plans that assign people automatically.
  • Real photos on public project pages. Project cards and project pages show their photos to visitors who are not signed in.
  • Links that land in the right place. Email buttons open the exact item, and baubiber.com pages stay in the browser.

For contractors and companies

Your company on baubiber.com

The contractor directory now lists one entry per company or independent contractor, with name, crew size and rating, and you can filter by companies or independents. Each entry opens a public profile with your service area on a map, ratings and reviews from every project your company carried out, certifications, and your crew. Request a project opens the Baubiber app, and the client's request goes to you and to other matching contractors nearby. Your email address and phone number are never shown.

Profile pictures, including crew photos, now load for every visitor. Before, they only appeared for people who were signed in.

Decide what your client approves

The Project settings cog in a construction project (and the Project settings card in the app) decides what the client sees, what they must approve and what they are informed about:

  • Budget changes: approval required, or inform only. With inform only, a change applies right away and the client gets a "Budget updated" notice.
  • Task assignments: inform the client, or keep it internal.
  • New milestones: inform the client, or keep it internal.

Nothing changes until you change a setting, and you can set defaults for your whole organization in Settings. On a property with a property manager, budget changes always go to the manager for approval. The budget-change dialog also shows each error next to the row it belongs to.

Milestones and crew planning in the Pro dashboard

A construction project now has seven tabs: Overview, Milestones, Planning, Logbook, Budget, Team and Details. Old links still open the right place.

  • Milestones have dates on a timeline you can drag, assignees shown as avatars, a budget and client sign-off.
  • Tasks (the former Tracker items) live inside their milestone. Drag them to reorder or to move them to another milestone.
  • Plan work books anyone on the project team, including project managers, for a time window. Focus them on milestones or tasks, and they are assigned automatically.
  • Planned hours are the same number everywhere: the project, the crew schedule, the capacity planner and the worker's Today.

Day allocations from the previous planning view that had no time window are not carried over. If you used them, plan that work again with Plan work.

Leads on baubiber.com

Project cards on baubiber.com/projects now show the project's photo: the AI vision of the result when there is one, otherwise a current photo. The street, client and deadline stay hidden. The public project pages in the app and on the Pro dashboard show their photos to visitors who are not signed in, too.

For crew members and site workers

  • Appear on your company's profile if you want to. A switch in Settings (app and Pro dashboard) adds your first name, last initial, photo and role to your company's public crew. It is off by default.
  • See what a job focuses on. Today lists the milestones and tasks your next job covers. When it covers several milestones, choose the one your time belongs to before you start.

For homeowners and clients

  • Request a project from a contractor's profile. It opens the Baubiber app, and your request goes to that contractor and to other matching contractors near you.
  • Clear notices about budget changes. Depending on your contractor's project settings, you either approve a budget change or receive a "Budget updated" notice for a change that already applies. Repeated assignment changes on the same task arrive as one notice.
  • Email buttons open the right place. A budget change opens the project's Budget tab, an invoice opens the invoice, and a chat message opens the chat. Before, every button opened the home screen.
  • A way back to archived projects. If all your projects are archived, the Projects tab shows a button to create a new project and a link to your archived ones.
  • More privacy while your project is open for offers. The public project page shows only the brief, the photos and the city, not your name, contact details, street address or account details. Photos of your home are marked so that search engines leave them out of image search.

For property managers

  • On a property you manage, every budget change still needs your approval, whatever the contractor's project settings say.
  • Buttons in notification emails open the exact project, budget change or invoice.

For everyone

Links to baubiber.com, such as guides, the blog, the directory and a buyer's status page, now open in the browser even when the app is installed. Links to app.baubiber.com still open the app.
