A helpful reminder, never an automatic time entry

How it works

• Voluntary activation. An eligible field worker, project manager, or owner turns the feature on in the native mobile app under Settings → Work.
• Limited to assigned work. The phone monitors one site area only around a scheduled work block assigned to that person.
• Confirmation before logging. Entering or leaving creates a reminder; it does not start or stop the timer automatically.
• Voice-first handover. After confirming departure, the worker can open the work report and describe the completed work by voice. Recording never starts by itself.

Safer setup for teams

Invitations now show the intended company role, including Construction worker, instead of falling back to a generic Viewer label. If an invited account already belongs to another company, Baubiber explains the conflict without silently changing either membership.

A location reminder can only be prepared when the worker is assigned to an active project, has a scheduled work block, and the project has a saved construction-site location. These checks keep the reminder tied to the intended person, project, place, and shift.

Designed for privacy and worker control

Location transitions are evaluated on the device. Baubiber does not upload a continuous movement trail, raw background coordinates, or dismissed reminders. A reminder expires after two hours, and the feature can be disabled at any time without removing manual time entry.

The normal monitoring window runs from 30 minutes before the scheduled shift until 60 minutes after it. If the timer is still active, departure assistance may continue for a limited overtime window. Signing out, changing users, deleting the account, or disabling the feature clears the device registration.

What employers need to do

The technical safeguards are a privacy-oriented baseline, not a substitute for an employer's legal assessment. Before enabling the feature for a workforce, organizations should provide clear notices, identify an appropriate legal basis, follow local labor and works-council requirements, avoid coercion, and keep a manual alternative available.

Availability

The feature is available in the latest Baubiber mobile preview and requires background location and notification permission on a physical iOS or Android device. A scheduled work block with a site location must be assigned before a reminder can be registered.
